The Power of Dawn by Wamporey
Shadows chase through the night Knowing their prey is too weak to fight. They must catch him before it´s light, On he runs with his salvation in sight. Dawn of beauty makes the forest so bright, A tired man knows he´s right. Sunrays come from over a hill Fear replaces the Shadows´ thrill. Warmth devours the fugitive´s chill It´s the reward of his undying will. His family is dead by the Shadows´ kill And he cannot surely be safe until... Shadows melt before the rising sun A bright and beautiful day has begun. Even though he knows he has won, The joy he should be feeling is none. Because now all his loved ones are gone He has not even a shoulder to cry on. The sun hasn´t yet been up for long A young man wonders how to get along. Releaved that he is safe, it still feels wrong He now has no family to laugh among. After this night he will no more here belong, And as he walks away he hears a song... A woman sang as if she just had cried The man walks down into a valley wide. He sees a horse that with a woman ride She eyes him long, and she then decide To trust and help him, off the horse she glide Together into the Sunrise they stride.
